Home > leisure & culture
Everyone in our District should be able to access a wide range of leisure and cultural activities. The positive contribution that active participation in leisure and cultural activities can have on individuals’ physical and mental well-being is now widely recognised. Cultural and leisure facilities such as the arts, sport, recreation, heritage, parks, open spaces and the countryside, all contribute to making the District a better place to live, work and visit.
In enhancing leisure and cultural facilities and opportunities within Horsham District, the Community Partnership aims to:
- Improve access to leisure/cultural facilities and opportunities
- Ensure local leisure/cultural opportunities are available to support vibrant/cohesive communities
- Value, support, encourage and develop the input of volunteers and the voluntary sector
